Only 4 re-downloads allowed at eMusic now

Somewhat overlooked amongst the pricing furore...

"6.11 You may re-download each of your previously purchased tracks up to a maximum of four (4) re-downloads per track for any at no additional charge; thereafter, you will be required to re-purchase the track."

...makes it even more important to BACK SHIT UP!

Yep. I started re-downloading yesterday and got through the A section. Helps that I'm sitting at the end of a DS3.
  • Oh, now THAT's dirty pool.

Taken on it's own, it is arguably not unreasonable (I don't know where else one can find unlimited redownloads).

But to slip such a major change into the mix while everyone's attention is focused on the pricing temper tantrums and I-hate-Sony flouncing around is just sleazy.

Jesus. Every time I just about bring myself around to a "benefit of the doubt" position there's another little reveal like this.
  • Double Jesus.
  • VERY sleazy.
    I can't re-download anything. The re-download button takes me to a blank wmp.emusic.com page.
  • Very Much so. At least when iTunes changes their terms of service, they make you read or least check the agree button, before downloading new purchases.
