Huh. It doesn't come up with a keyword search of window or outside. I was doing a most-recent search, too, but apparently didn't go back far enough; I stopped after two pages, so sure was I that it had seen activity more recently than April 2…I'm gonna piggyback on this thread to ask if we've lost some threads. Didn't we have one titled "What's outside your window right now"? I could've sworn we did and it was active not long ago.
Revisiting Mingus after a very long absence:I just wrapped up two books. I tend to read one fiction and one non-fiction concurrently. I like the non-fiction first thing in the morning for some reason.(Quote) Adding that to my list to check out.
I forgot how this was one of my very favorite Frisell recordings:Tonight's line-up: Joe Henderson, Bobby Hutcherson, and James Clay
Tonight's reading soundtrack is Joe Henderson (with McCoy Tyner as "etc"), Ray Bryant, and McCoy Tyner.I just finished reading this enjoyable novel:Peaceful nights spent reading with the cats sleeping nearby is my 2023 jam. Some of tonight's line-up are (more) Red Garland Trio, Dizzy Reece, and Bill Evans.Another peaceful night spent reading with the cats snoring nearby. Music this time by Red Garland, Bill Evans, and Duke Jordan.(Quote)My eyes are pretty bad, too. Plus, I always take a book with me to the restaurants or bars, and in the evenings, the lights are (understandably) quite low. So, what I've begun doing is, in addition to buying the paperback…A peaceful evening reading to the music of Leo Kottke:
I just finished this:(Quote)"Voice of Chunk" was literally the next album I listened to after the Horvitz and Previte recordings. Been revisiting a lot of early 90s mod jazz albums lately. Now on:A couple of albums that introduced me to the modern jazz scene back in the early 90s.
